Newly opened Ultimate Home Remodelers includes Hudson operation
by John Benson
After nearly 20 years in the property management industry, Hudson’s Jeff Goodman, who founded Hudson Fury Baseball, decided the time was right to join his brother, David, and create a family business that merged their passions and talents.
The result is Ultimate Home Remodelers, which started nearly three months ago and specializes in roofing, window replacement, siding and interior renovations, as well as bathroom and kitchen remodels.
“What happened at this point in our life was my brother has been doing remodeling and construction for the better part of the past 25 years down in the Youngstown and Warren,” Goodman said. “I’ve been in multi-family property management, as well as corporate housing, for 30 years.
“We got tired of making other people money. So we got together to do something that at some point we could pass down to our kids or something that could be more family-legacy oriented.”
Even though the venture just started, Ultimate Home Remodelers is already making inroads in the industry with more than two dozen jobs completed.
“I’ve been part of the Hudson community for 15 years,” Goodman said. “It’s just a great place to do business. We’re fully licensed, bonded and insured. Having been plugged into our respective communities, we’re really in tune with what type of investment is made into a customer’s home.
“At the end of the day, your home is your kingdom. We want to make that kingdom as comfortable as possible.”
The company’s promise is to deliver clear and honest communication, complete and on-time and on-budget projects with owner oversight, demonstrate the highest level of ethics and professionalism and consistently exceed customer expectations.
Goodman said Ultimate Home Remodelers is already changing minds about the industry.
“People sometimes have this negative perception about contractors because projects run late and always go over budget,” Goodman said. “We want to take that element of surprise out of it.”
Ultimate Home Remodelers has north and south offices. The former operates out of Goodman’s home, but that could be changing soon.
“We don’t have a physical showroom,” Goodman said. “We’re still working on that. The idea is we want to walk before we run. But right now, we’ve surpassed our original goals.
“We’ve got trucks on the road. We’ve got teams on the road as well, so the next logistical step is a physical location, a showroom, where we can show our wares.”
