July 21-Aug. 12: ‘Forbidden Broadway’ at Western Reserve Playhouse

The next production of the Western Reserve Playhouse is “Forbidden Broadway,” a musical revue created and written by Gerard Alessandrini, scheduled for July 21, 22, 28, 29 and Aug. 4, 5, 11, 12.


In this long-running, Off-Broadway hit revue, Broadway’s greatest musical legends meet Broadway’s greatest satirist’s entertaining tribute to some of the theater’s greatest stars and songwriters.


Artistic Director Dawn Sniadak-Yamokoski will direct; John Ebner is the musical director, and Samantha Woodill is the choreographer. The show is produced by board members Brandi Eaton and Sid Freeman.


The cast will showcase many local actors, including Don Bernardo, Bernadette Hisey, Jay Hill, Luke Scattergood, Kimberly Sullivan, Tina Davis, Nina Takacs, Kaleigh Velette, Nick Peters and Mark Vandevender.


Show times are 8 p.m., Fridays and Saturdays. Tickets are $16 for adults, $14 for seniors and students. Reservation line: 330-620-7314. The playhouse is located at 3326 Everett Rd., Richfield.
