Sept. 30: Appalachian Collection

The 29th annual Appalachian Collection will occur in St. Basil the Great’s church, 8700 Brecksville Rd., Brecksville, on Saturday Sept. 30, from 8 a.m.-6 p.m. 

 

All items donated are transported to the Appalachian Mission Center in Louisa, Ky. A donation receipt is provided to all who donate. Visit fbamc-ky.org for further information about the mission.

 

Monetary donations will be accepted. See Ken Peters for a tax-exempt receipt. 

 

New or gently used donations of household goods, including small appliances, cooking utensils, dishes, sheets, blankets, towels, men’s clothing and children’s clothing and toys will also be accepted. Do not donate broken, outdated or harshly used items. Women’s clothing is not needed this year. 

 

Volunteers are welcome to help remove donations from cars and place them in trailers. For a complete list of items needed or to sign up as a volunteer, visit kofc14406.org.
