Sept. 23: Revere Marching Band Invitational

Posted: August 30, 2017

Celebrating its 12th year, the Revere High School Marching Band Invitational is expected to include more than 14 bands from around the state, performing before a panel of judges for the chance to earn a “superior” rating and the opportunity to compete at the state level in early November.

The invitational is scheduled for the evening of Sept. 23 and is open to the public. Admission is $6 for adults, $4 for senior citizens and students.

The night will be capped off by a performance of the Revere Marching Minutemen, followed by the awards ceremony.

The Revere Invitational has gained a reputation for being a quality show, due to the work of the marching band students, directors Darren LeBeau and Katie Rizzo and more than 100 parent volunteers.

Spectators can purchase whole pies or pie by the slice. All pies are donated and frequently sell out before the end of the show.

The invitational is an important fundraiser for the Revere music program. The Revere Music Parents Association manages funds generated at the invitational. For additional information visit
