Sept. 15-20: “Scotland Road” at Western Reserve Playhouse

Posted: August 31, 2017

The mystery “Scotland Road” runs Sept. 15-30 at Western Reserve Playhouse, directed by Co-Artistic Director Brian Westerley.

In the last decade of the 20th century, a young woman is found floating on an iceberg in the North Atlantic. When rescued, she says one word: “Titanic.” The woman is taken to an isolated spot on the coast of Maine, where an expert on the Titanic, a mysterious man named John, interrogates her. John and a skeptical doctor named Halbrech play a cat-and-mouse game with the woman. As time runs out, Halbrech tracks down the last living survivor of the disaster, a reclusive old woman named Frances Kittle, who has lived in seclusion for 75 years.

By the play’s end, one of the characters is dead, all of the characters’ identities have been questioned, and John and the woman’s shared secret is revealed.

The play stars Adrienne Jones, Jim Hagan, Rose Gabriele and Harriet DeVeto.

Showtimes are Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m. Tickets are $13 for adults and $11 for seniors and students. To reserve tickets, visit westernreserveplayhouse.org. The venue is located at 3326 Everett Rd., Bath.
