Oct. 28: World Tour of Music

Posted: September 28, 2017

Kicking off the Ohio Regional Music Arts and Cultural Outreach (ORMACO) World Tour of Music series is Columbus-based Irish group, the General Guinness Band, at 8 p.m., Oct. 28, at Highland High School, 4150 Ridge Rd. This acclaimed group has performed the music of Ireland for over 35 years. Combining songs collected by vocalist and Kilkenny, Ireland, native James O’Shea with energetic fiddle tunes, four-part harmonies, and Irish step dancing, the band’s richly told stories-in-song also incorporate humor and provide insight into the charming lore and myth of the Irish.

As part of the festivities, Sully’s Irish Pub in Medina will offer a three-course pre-concert Irish dinner for $15 per person (Rueben dip, Irish stew and Bailey’s cheesecake). Dinner reservations are required at 330-764-3333.
