Nov. 18: Coats for Kids/Stuff the Bus

Posted: October 19, 2017

North Royalton High School football players will coordinate the eighth annual Coats for Kids/Stuff the Bus collection on Saturday, Nov. 18, from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Bring gently used coats and cash donations to the North Royalton Board of Education parking lot, 6579 Royalton Rd., where the players will stuff a North Royalton school bus with donations. The event benefits children in Northeast Ohio.

Stuff the Bus is a drive-and-drop operation, so coat and cash donors need not leave their vehicles to make a donation. Winter coats of all sizes (including adult) will be accepted and redistributed to children through various social service agencies.

“The Stuff the Bus team endured miserable weather at last year’s event but still had a highly successful event,” said Debbie Martinko, Coats for Kids executive director. “They raised close to $2,600 and collected several hundred coats.”

Zeppe’s Pizza in North Royalton will deliver sheet pizzas for volunteers, Becker’s Donuts in North Royalton will provide donuts, and Michael Angelo’s Bakery in Broadview Heights will offer cupcakes.
