Nov. 18: Interfaith Open House

Posted: October 30, 2017

Richfield Interfaith Coalition (RIC) will host the third Interfaith Open House on Saturday, Nov.18. Participants will visit Christian, Hindu, Buddhist, Jain and Sikh places of worship without leaving Richfield.

A Tibetan Buddhist monk will lead participants in meditation. A Hindu priest will offer ancient prayers, and a traditional lunch will be served by the Sikh community. Catholics, Lutherans and the Richfield United Church of Christ will also lead Christian prayers and hymns. Jains will welcome visitors to their white marble temple.

The tour will begin at 8:45 a.m. at RUCC, 4340 W. Streetsboro Rd. The tour will end by 2 p.m. Carpooling is recommended.

There is no charge, but reservations are required. Early reservations are strongly recommended, since previous tours have filled up. To make a reservation, call the Richfield United Church of Christ, 330-659-3532, or contact the leadership of any other congregation that is active in the RIC. The Rev. John King organized the RIC in 2015.
