Jillian Roberts, a graduate of Brecksville-Broadview Heights High School, is one of four Baldwin Wallace University women’s track and field athletes to earn a United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association All-Academic accolade.
Roberts is one of 477 NCAA Division III athletes from 123 institutions to be recognized.
To be eligible for the honor, an athlete must have a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.30 and either qualify for the NCAA Indoor Championships, be ranked in the national top 50 in an individual event or be ranked in the national top 35 in a relay.
Roberts, who won her second accolade, graduated with a 3.60 GPA in exercise science. She was a two-time Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference selection. Athletically, she was a 2020 indoor national qualifier, two-time USTFCCCA All-Great Lakes Region selection and three-time All-OAC performer.
The following students were named to the dean’s list: Alessandra Rosario, Le Moyne College; Morgan Samples and Megan Costanzo, Youngstown State University. Costanzo was also named to the president’s list at YSU.
The following students graduated: Nick Deuch, Markelle Kallibjian, Leah Morgan, Max Nudelman, Nayana Ravishankar, Adriana Sehlhorst and Robert Strenk, Miami University.
Sophia M. Dobronos made the spring semester dean’s list at Ohio State University. She is studying health and rehabilitation and aspires to become a physician’s assistant.
Benjamin R. Geib graduated from Duke University on May 10 with a doctorate in philosophy and neuroscience. In August, Geib will begin his post-doc program at the University of California Davis Center for Neuroscience, where he will continue his research in the neurocognitive structure of human memory.
Geib previously graduated magna cum laude from Bucknell University in Lewisburg, Pa., with a bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering. He is a graduate of Brecksville-Broadview Heights High School and the son of Doug and Monica Geib of Brecksville.
