Plans for Bath Provisions are back on track

The now-demolished site of the former Jimbo’s Drive-in at the intersection of Cleveland Massillon and Ghent Road is soon to be home to “Bath Provisions,” a development featuring retail and office space.

The pandemic delayed the start of the project by almost a year but it is now on track to be completed with Pav’s Creamery, EMMA Wine bar, Pitchfork Restaurant, and The Corner Club slated to open before the end of 2021.

Tom Giltner, a boomerang Bath resident is overseeing the 22,500 square foot multi-level construction project.

“The atmosphere will be dynamic and cool. Having grown up in Bath, I know first-hand how great the restaurant and food scene is. We are excited to be an addition to what Bath already has to offer as well as serve as an entertainment destination,” said Giltner.

The Corner Club, a state-of-the-art golf stimulator club, is the vision of Giltner and his wife, Megan, and Derek and Erin Klaus.

“If we are lucky in Northeast Ohio we can comfortably golf about five months of the year. With The Corner Club, we are bringing the best indoor golf training in the country to you. Here you will be able to play the top courses around the world, 12 months out of the year,” explained Giltner.

This will be the second location for EMMA: Wine with Friends. Giltner and his friends and business partners opened the first location in Cincinnati in 2019. The unique self-service wine dispensers allow the bar to offer more than 40 wines by the glass in one-ounce sample size, a three-ounce half-pour or a six-ounce pour.

The Pitchfork is the restaurant concept of The Farmer’s Rail, currently at 1572 N. Cleveland Massillon Rd. in Bath. Owners, Jeff and Melanie Brunty will feature their pasture-raised meats that The Farmer’s Rail is known for. They will have expanded offerings and carryout items at Pitchfork.

“The Pitchfork will also have items to complement the wine bar, including charcuterie and a raw bar,” Giltner said.

Pav’s Creamery, with their locally famous, freshly made custard, homemade hard ice cream and adult milkshakes will occupy the lower level of Bath Provisions. Their 1,500 square foot space will include indoor and patio seating. Mark and Rebecca Kelley of Bath and Nik Pappas and Michelle Micochero are partners as owner-operators for this location.

“We are excited to bring our desserts to ice cream lovers year-round in Bath. This will be the fifth location of Pav’s Creamery and the concept and location couldn’t be better,” said Nik Pappas.

Bath Township considers this location to be part of the heritage corridor.

“It’s a super visible corner, so we wanted to make it beautiful,” said Giltner. “The structure that will have woodwork inside and outside and the property will feature a “Bath Township” sign.”

About 4,000 square feet of office space, designed for medical or professional services, is still available for lease. ∞
