Jiffy Lube introduced to Northfield

A Jiffy Lube vehicle maintenance shop has opened in Northfield at 226 E. Aurora Rd.

Area Manager Eric Petrey oversees the location in addition to a Jiffy Lube in Brunswick and two in Michigan. He explained the Northfield site is a “Multicare” unit, meaning it is a full-mechanic shop offering services beyond an oil change.

According to the company website, Jiffy Lube has nine categories of service: oil change, brakes, engine, exterior and glass, filters, fluids, inspections, suspension and tires. These include radiator coolant exchange, windshield and tire repair, fuel system cleaning and vehicle alignment.

Premium Velocity Auto LLC, a Jiffy Lube franchise, owns the business in Northfield, along with 100 other stores, according to Petrey.

“Jiffy Lube hasn’t been in the Cleveland [area] in 30 years,’’ he said. “We thought it was time to introduce it to the market.”

A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held on June 15. The store is the ninth to open in Ohio.

Hours for the Northfield location are Monday-Friday from 8 a.m.-6 p.m., Saturday from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m.-4 p.m.

Petrey said business has been steady since the opening, and that the shop’s eight employees hope to work on more than 40 cars per day. ∞
