Wellness business brings light to Brecksville
by Emily Canning-Dean
For Brecksville residents Dolores Alquist, Tracy Rhinehart and Lisa Stewart, promoting wellness has always been a passion and a priority. So when Rhinehart recently learned about the Energy Enhancement System and the benefits it provides, the three women knew they wanted to bring that technology to their community.
Back in September, the trio opened The Light Wisdom and Wellness, at 8185 Brecksville Rd.
EESystem is a treatment that generates multiple bio-active, life-enhancing energy fields, including scalar waves which are said to allow cell regeneration, immune function improvement, pain relief, detoxification and mood elevation.
“This isn’t a medical treatment, but it is a wellness tool,” Rhinehart said. “Some clients have found it offers improved sleep or fewer headaches. It’s about overall well-being. We don’t use the word healing, but it seems to promote the body’s own capacity to heal itself. The results are different for everyone.”
Rhinehart said the room where the EESystem sessions take place includes comfortable, reclining chairs. Clients spend a minimum of two hours per session relaxing in the chairs while being exposed to the high frequency energy field. There are also lift chairs available to assist individuals with disabilities or limited mobility.
“The room is darkened and we have blankets,” she said. “Our clients can kick back and give their bodies a chance to relax and respond to the energy field.”
Alquist said the sessions are safe for anyone, including women who are pregnant.
“We have had all sorts of people go in, including younger kids and teenagers as well as senior citizens,” she said. “We would love for people to stop in and check it out and let us explain the technology to you. We have found that once people have the opportunity to embrace it, they really fall in love with it.”
Stewart said that in the six months The Light Wisdom and Wellness has been open, they have heard wonderful feedback from their clients. She said one client has even noticed an improvement with macular degeneration.
“It’s been so inspiring seeing people walking in at first with their heads down and shuffling their feet, and then by the second or third session, their heads are lifted and their spirit is too,” Rhinehart said.
Stewart added that the sessions not only help promote healing of physical ailments, but can also help with things like depression and anxiety.
Along with the EESystem sessions, The Light Wisdom and Wellness offers other services such as reiki, access bars, nutrition coaching and life empowerment sessions.
The business is open from 1-8 p.m. Tuesdays; 8 a.m. -6 p.m. Wednesdays; 1-8 p.m. Thursdays; 8 a.m.-7 p.m. Fridays; 8 a.m. -4 p.m. Saturdays; noon-4 p.m. Sundays; and it is closed Mondays. Overnight sessions are also available monthly or by appointment. ∞
