Towpath Trail north of Station Road Bridge to open

Cuyahoga Valley National Park is making progress on a riverbank stabilization project funded by the Great American Outdoors Act that is stabilizing the banks of the Cuyahoga River. Erosion threatens the Ohio & Erie Canal Towpath Trail and the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad tracks.

Contractors have completed work in Brecksville, north of the Station Road Bridge Trailhead, and will be moving to the next site, south of Station Road Bridge. The Towpath Trail heading north from Station Road Bridge is open.

An approximately half-mile section of the Towpath Trail south of Station Road will be closed weekdays until Aug. 2. The trail section will be open weekends from 6 p.m. Fridays until 5 a.m. on Mondays. ∞
