The City Manager’s Desk – Thomas Sheridan

Mark your calendars as we count down the days to the annual 4th of July Fireworks Celebration on Sunday, June 30, at Barlow Farm Park, with a rain date of Sunday, July 7. Event admission and parking are free.

Join us for an unforgettable evening of family fun, local food vendors, and, of course, a breathtaking fireworks display. The event is made possible by the Hudson Community Foundation, and the fireworks are from Hudson’s own American Fireworks.

For your convenience, shuttle bus service will begin at 7 p.m., at the JOANN Stores parking lot at 5555 Darrow Road. Buses will drop off at the intersection of Hudson Industrial Parkway and Terex Road near Barlow Farm Park. Buses also will take guests back to the JOANN Stores parking lot at the conclusion of the fireworks.

Handicapped parking is available at the Summit Metro Parks Wood Hollow Park off Terex Road adjacent to Barlow Farm Park. This lot provides both restrooms and a clear view of the fireworks display.

Beginning at 7 p.m., food trucks will be onsite near the fireworks seating area and will serve customers until the end of the fireworks.

Road closures on Terex Road and Barlow Road will be in effect beginning at 7 p.m. For details about the road closures, visit hudson.oh.us/fireworks.

To maintain a family friendly atmosphere, please refrain from bringing consumer fireworks, creating fire pits, consuming alcohol or selling glow products within Barlow Farm Park and surrounding areas. For additional details on parking, shuttle services and handicap accessibility, visit hudson.oh.us/fireworks.

In case of inclement weather, follow the city of Hudson’s Facebook and Twitter accounts for any urgent weather announcements the day of the event.

We can’t wait to share this magical evening with you! See you there! ∞
