Township Corner by Trustee Robert Luther

Our road department will be chipping brush starting July 8. If you have brush to chip put it by the roadside in manageable bundles.

The township road department has been busy mowing roadside ditches and keeping them clean. Summit County has discontinued mowing roadsides except where hazardous conditions exist. The Township Association of Summit County has expressed our concern over the discontinuation of this service.

Service Department Foreman Jerry Schall will retire in December after more than 25 years of dedicated service. Anyone looking for a job in our service department as a road laborer/snowplow driver can apply at the township office. A CDL license is required.

Our road paving in Glencairn will continue later this year.

Please be careful celebrating July 4th with dry weather expected, things can get out of hand fast. As always enjoy your vacations and have fun with family and friends. ∞
