New location, same atmosphere for Spennato’s

Spennato’s, a favorite Italian restaurant of Northfield, Sagamore, Macedonia, and Twinsburg residents, has a new home. Although the surroundings may look a little different, the eatery’s homemade Italian favorites have not changed a bit.

Egidio and Mary DiPaola, along with their son Anthony and his wife Stephanie, operate Spennato’s Italian Ristorante, which is now located at 9415 Olde Eight Rd., moving from its previous location on Northfield Road in Northfield.

The family remodeled the former Dragon Garden Restaurant into the new Spennato’s to include a centrally located bar – something the family said enhances the experience of having a drink at the restaurant. The DiPaolas also said the new location offers improved parking and an expanded dining area.

Customers will also see new dining tables and chairs, including some high top tables.

“But all the reasons people come to Spennato’s have not changed,” said Stephanie.

She said favorites including pasta, seafood, chicken and pizza are all available both in the restaurant and as carry out.

Spennato’s was closed for several weeks for the renovations before reopening the first week of June in its new location.

“Since then, our regular customers have all come in. Many told us they had missed us. And we felt the same way,” said Stephanie. “It’s a family business that makes everyone feel like family when they come to Spennato’s.” ∞
