Information provided by the Brecksville Police Department

June 11 – Police responded to a Wiese Road business after receiving a damage to property report. Upon arrival, the business owner told the officer he shipped out a guitar and a case to a customer that arrived damaged. He said he was unable to activate the insurance on the package because he needed to file a police report to note the damage. The second issue was with an order he placed for six rolls of packing tape. The complainant told the officer only four of the rolls were delivered. In order to receive further assistance, the complainant was told he would again need to file a police report.

June 14 – Reporting an incident of identity theft, the complainant told an officer she recently canceled her mother’s landline telephone service and contacted the service provider to issue a refund check. She said the representative informed her that the check had been sent to a North Royalton address that is not associated with her or her mother. The provider refused to reissue the refund. The complainant was told to monitor her credit.

June 16 – A 27-year-old Parma man was arrested with operating a motor vehicle without a driver’s license after he was pulled over on Valley Parkway for following another vehicle too closely. Police said the man handed them his Ohio identification card during the traffic stop and said he did not have a driver’s license. Police then discovered the suspect also had a warrant for his arrest issued by the North Olmstead Police Department on assault charges. The suspect was taken into custody and turned over to North Olmstead Police. ∞
