Brecksville’s CodeRed Warning System is not just about receiving alerts about thunderstorms and other emergency weather activity, it also enables residents to receive notifications regarding non-weather events.

All residents and businesses located in Brecksville are advised to take advantage of the free service, which also sends CodeRed warnings to your cell phone in the event you are away from home. To subscribe, log on to the city of Brecksville’s website at brecksville.oh.us. On the home page, click on “Departments,” then click on “Fire.” On the menu listed under “Fire,” there is a tab to sign up for CodeRed. Simply fill out the form to be added to the list.

Those who don’t have access to a computer also can contact the Fire Department at 440-526-2640 to sign up. ∞
