Runners persevere in Run to the Sun 5K

The Bath Parks Board held its annual “Run to the Sun 5K” on July 12, starting in Bath Community Park and looping through Bath Nature Preserve along the township’s “Solar System Walk.”

The race drew 45 participants, who persevered through warm summer temperatures to complete the course.

Bill Braden, the first-place male finisher, ran the course in 20:13. Second-place finisher was Michael Bassett with a time of 21:33.3. The third-place male finisher was Matt Zelinski with a time of 23:25.4.

Top female finisher Rosa Parsons completed the course in 24:33.8. Second place was Ella Slaby with 24:41.3. Third-place female finisher was Julie Parsons with a 25:50.9 finish. ∞
