Aug. 15 special township trustees meeting

Upon being sworn in this August, Laura Tuttle becomes the fourth Bath Township fiscal officer in 21 months. She was unanimously approved by township trustees.

According to her resume, Tuttle is the director of global human resource operations at Hyland Software, which services many businesses from its headquarters in Westlake, a west side suburb of Cleveland. She has served in several capacities at Hyland Software since 2015, often dealing with payroll issues.

She also was senior payroll coordinator at PolyOne Corp. from May 2014 to September 2015 and payroll administrator for Giant Eagle from September 2005 to May 2014.

A graduate with honors from Revere High School, Tuttle earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting and business administration at Baldwin Wallace University.

She succeeds Jen Hardin, who was elected in November 2023 and took office on April 1, 2024, only to resign on July 16. Hardin replaced Gregory Thewes, who served as fiscal officer from January 2023 to March 31, 2024. Before Thewes had the job, Sharon Troike served as Bath fiscal officer for several years until winning election as a Bath trustee in November 2022. ∞
