Community treated to great weekend following days of turbulent weather

Community Weekend started on Friday, Aug. 9, with a lively and noisy parade, capturing the mood of the bystanders. The Masons organized the parade, which landed at Richfield Woods where the Swizzle Sticks entertained with live music.

The Masons and Sons of Amvets served a record number at their Saturday steak fry, and the Sunday Community Day was jammed packed with families enjoying themselves. The children seemed thrilled with all of the games and inflatables. Bands played throughout the day and evening.

Bath-Richfield Kiwanis Chairperson Ruth Jocek said the day went off with few hitches, garnering lots of praise from attendees.

The fireworks, provided by Richfield Village, were a spectacular display. Many families walked or arrived by bicycle to watch.
