League of Women Voters of Hudson to host Sept. 12 meeting on redistricting amendment

Over the last several months, one out of every 10 voters in the state of Ohio signed a petition to place the Citizens Not Politicians Amendment on the ballot in Ohio in November. The amendment provides for a 15-member panel made up of Republicans, Democrats and Independents. It also bans current or former politicians, political party officials, lobbyists and large political donors from serving on the panel.

To learn more about the proposed Citizens Not Politicians Amendment, join the League of Women Voters of Hudson on Thursday, Sept. 12, at 6:30 p.m., for an informational meeting at the Hudson Library and Historical Society in the Laurel Lake Room.

The League of Women Voters, a nonpartisan political organization, encourages informed and active participation in government, works to increase understanding of major public policy issues and influence public policy through education and advocacy. For more information, see lwvhudson.org. ∞
