Fall into Nature features pumpkin painting, hayrides and nature exhibits

Bath Township’s annual “Fall into Nature” event on Oct. 5 drew 571 visitors, and 220 pumpkins found a new home. Guests were treated to complimentary activities including hayrides, scarecrow making, browsing a pumpkin patch, and face and pumpkin painting.

The University of Akron Field Station provided hands-on activities and guitarist Keith Barnett provided live music. Pumpkin carver Don Witt sculpted marvelous creations in the seasonal gourds. A variety of food trucks were also present to offer visitors treats.

Local Bath community groups present with informational booths and activities included Akron Audubon, Akron Summit Bookmobile, Akron Zoo, Bath Community Fund, Bath Fire Department, Bath Gamma Garden Club, Bath Park Board, Bath Police Department, Bath-Richfield Kiwanis, Bath Township Historical Society, Bath Volunteers for Service, Boy Scouts, Cascade Auto Group, Cub Scouts, Environ, Friends of Yellow Creek, Heritage Corridors of Bath, Summit Soil and Water and the University of Akron. ∞
