Congratulations to Stewart’s Caring Place on the incredible success of their 2024 Butterfly Gala, held at the beautiful Bath home of Drs. Kevin and Brenda Spear. The event brought together over 500 supporters to raise vital funds for individuals and families navigating their cancer journey.
A special moment of the evening was the presentation of the prestigious Spirit Award to Bath resident Jeannine Marks, honoring her years of dedication and service to the organization. The annual Fathers and Male Mentors Walk at Revere Middle School is a cherished tradition that has grown since its start in 2020. This event provides fathers and other mentors a chance to make lasting memories outdoors with their middle-schoolers. After a few laps around the track, everyone enjoyed donuts, coffee and refreshments provided by the RMS PTA.
A big thank you to Nina Wilson for coordinating the event for the past three years and to the sponsors: the Vukoder family, Acme Fresh Markets and Giant Eagle. Special recognition also goes to principals Bill Conley and Dan Oberhauser for their support.
Bath resident Lauren Bay Regula recently marked a significant milestone in her athletic career with her induction into the Athletics Hall of Honor at Oklahoma State University. This prestigious recognition celebrates her outstanding contributions to the Cowgirl softball team.
Among many achievements, Lauren still holds the school record for the most strikeouts in a single season (451), highlighting her remarkable pitching prowess. She was particularly grateful to have her family in attendance, including her parents, husband Dave Regula, and children Grace, Jack and Will. “There is something special about my past life and current life colliding,” she said.
Throughout her career, Lauren has represented Canada on the international stage, competing in the Olympics three times. Lauren’s induction into the Oklahoma State Athletics Hall of Honor is a well-deserved recognition of her extraordinary accomplishments and serves as an inspiration to all. Congratulations!
