Revere Superintendent’s Corner
A celebration of Revere’s student learning
The Ohio Department of Education and Workforce recently released annual report cards for all schools and districts in Ohio. An annual review of Revere Local’s report card provides an opportunity to reflect on our academic progress, celebrate our successes, and identify opportunities for growth. As we analyze these results, our goal is to use this data to inform future decision-making, and to continue to provide high-quality, engaging instruction and ensure the success of every student in our district.
Revere is rated a 5-Star District! Ohio utilizes a star rating system for the state report card. Each component is rated between one to five stars, with five stars being the highest rating. We are excited to share that Revere has received a 5-star overall rating again this school year, which means that the district has “significantly exceeded” state standards. The five components that districts are rated on include achievement, progress, gap closing, graduation, and early literacy.
Revere has steadily increased our Performance Index score over the past four years. The Performance Index measures student achievement across six levels on Ohio’s state tests. The higher the performance score on each test, the higher the performance index with 109.3 as the maximum possible score for a school district. Revere’s Performance Index score was 101.2 in 2021; 102.1 in 2022; 103.75 in 2023; and 104.6 in 2024.
These scores result in our district being ranked #2 in the county, as well as in the top 5% of schools across the entire state of Ohio. We are so incredibly proud of our students and staff for their hard work throughout the entire 2023-24 school year, and we look forward to another successful year this year!

Listening and Learning Tour
We are kicking off a Listening and Learning Tour this fall. For a school superintendent, the tour is a critical step in building relationships, gaining insights and listening to understand what is important to our school community. We would like to engage with a broad range of stakeholders, including students, teachers, staff, parents, community members, and local leaders.
We are seeking opportunities to visit informally – no food, and we will bring our own water – with small groups of up to 20 people in the community. Each meeting will last approximately one hour and will include the following questions:
1. What do you love about our schools?
- What are areas that you would like to see improve?
- Anything else I should know?
If you would be willing to host a group in your home, neighborhood, or business, respond to this link: signupgenius.com/go/30E0C4EA8A62AA7FE3-52372347-listening. We also have listening and learning sessions scheduled in public locations and virtual lunch sessions available. To participate, sign up at signupgenius.com/go/30E0C4EA8A62AA7FE3-52370117-listening.
