Oct. 1—Dispatch advised of a resident that wanted to make a report regarding her juvenile daughter being part of witness intimidation. Upon reviewing everything provided by the mother, police determined no witness intimidation was observed.
Oct. 2—An elderly Spring Pond Road resident was found dead in his home.
Oct. 4—Police stopped a vehicle for traffic violations on Deerfield Drive, and the driver was arrested for OVI.
Oct. 5—A driver on Cricket Lane had a headlight out and didn’t use turn signals. Police pulled the driver over and arrested them for OVI.
Oct. 6—A driver on state Route 82 violated traffic laws and was arrested for OVI.
Oct. 6—Officers were dispatched to a Smithfield Drive residence in response to a female who had made suicide threats. She was taken to Cleveland Clinic Twinsburg.
Oct. 8—Sagamore police were requested to assist Northfield Village with a traffic stop on Houghton Road.
Oct. 10—Officers responded to an Olde Eight Road business for report of a dispute between business owners who have argued over authority of parts of the property.
Oct. 14—After a car failed to use turn signals on Eaton Drive and Troubadour Drive, the driver was stopped and charged with OVI.
Oct. 15—A driver was arrested for OVI after speeding on Nesbitt Road near Summersweet Trail.
Oct. 15—A police cruiser sustained some rear damage when the officer thought he was cleared to enter a garage at Stow Municipal Court.
Oct. 15—A female resident was told to pick up her boyfriend’s daughter from her mother’s house but was denied access to the girl by her mother.
Oct. 17—At a Greenwood Parkway residence, a female resident’s ex-boyfriend entered her home without consent. He later got into his ex-girlfriend’s car in the parking lot of her daughter’s school and stole her phone and keys. He was charged with telecommunications fraud and theft.
Oct. 18—A driver was arrested for OVI on Greenwood Parkway.
Oct. 18—A resident reported possible mail fraud when she was sent two unsolicited debit cards from Walmart.
Oct. 19—During a traffic stop on Greenwood Parkway, police found the driver was intoxicated and issued her an OVI.
Oct. 19—A resident’s Facebook account was hacked and in trying to rectify that problem, the resident was scammed by someone claiming they could help her with her Facebook page via phone if she gave personal information.
Oct. 19—A stroller with a Nintendo Switch gaming system was found in the parking lot of a W. Aurora Road business complex.
Oct. 19—A caller advised police there was a man walking up to children in Sagamore Hills Park. Police used cameras in the park to identify the male’s vehicle and tracked him down. He stated he did not talk to any children.
Oct. 21—Officers conducted a traffic stop on Olde Eight Road because the vehicle had an expired registration and unreadable temp tag in the window. The driver refused to provide identification when requested and did not have a valid driver’s license.
Oct. 24—Police were dispatched to a Sagamore Road residence for a disturbance between a male and female of a multiple-dwelling residence. They both declined to press charges.
Oct. 25—During a traffic stop on state Route 82, police found the driver was driving under suspension and there was a warrant block on the license plate.
Oct. 26—Police responded to a Wood Hollow Road residence for an open 911 call. A male and female were arguing inside the home and were both intoxicated.
Oct. 26—Officers assisted area departments with a structure fire on Sagamore Road. No people were injured.
Oct. 29—Police responded to a Troubadour Drive residence for report of a disturbance. An 18-year-old female was yelling at her family about how she wanted to go to California for a modeling job that she was offered from someone she met through social media.
Oct. 29—Sagamore police provided aid to Northfield Village regarding a domestic violence situation between a male and female at apartments on Lincoln Drive.
Oct. 29—A male driver did a burnout on Chaffee Road near state Route 82. A traffic stop was conducted and an odor of alcoholic beverage was detected on the driver. The driver stated he had five glasses of wine prior to operating the vehicle. He was arrested for OVI.
Oct. 30—Officers responded to a Chesapeake Drive home for report of an unresponsive male lying on the floor of his home. The man had several medical conditions and was pronounced dead.
Oct. 30—A female at a Spafford Oval residence reported she was hit in the head after waking up with a head wound. Police found no signs of someone in the home to hit her and her sister later confirmed she is an alcoholic and likely fell in the home.
Oct. 30—Police issued an OVI to a driver on state Route 82 and Boyden Road. ∞
