Mayor’s Corner
The holidays are upon us. I wish everyone a very merry and happy holiday season. If you are traveling to another destination for the holidays, please drive safely and sanely.
The new water tower will be operational at the beginning of March 2025. With it will come increased water pressure. If you are on the Cleveland Water line and do not have a water pressure regulator on your line, you should look into getting one installed. A water pressure regulator is a valve that reduces the incoming water pressure to a manageable level for the home plumbing infrastructure.
Although it is not necessary for every plumbing installation, a water pressure regulator can be essential when the municipal water supply enters the home at a very high pressure. If the water pressure is too high, it can cause significant damage to the valves, faucets, appliances, pipes and plumbing fittings.
Please welcome Victoria Bodnar as our newest full-time police officer, Mary Jess (MJ) Daugherty to the position of full-time police dispatcher, and Dylan Clarke and Sandra Norsic as part-time fire medics.
I thank council, department heads and all our employees for helping to make the Village of Richfield an awesome place to live.
The village will be collecting donation items for the holidays until December 18 to help the Battered Women’s Shelter. Please see our website for details. If you have questions, concerns or comments, please contact me, or my executive assistant, at 330-659-9201, ext. 234, or email me at mwheeler@richfieldvillageohio.org.
