Brewery opened its doors in December to a full house
After waiting almost four years, Richfield Brewing Company opened its doors on December 6 and 7 to soft openings. The following week, the rustic facility with seating for over 200, was packed. People in the crowd were from Richfield and all around Northeast Ohio.
Owner Mike Lytz thanked all of the contractors who brought the project to fruition, as well as his brewmaster and chef.
Larger groups and families sat at long tables and groups of four sat along the sides.
The bar menu had four home-brewed beers and one guest beer, wines and cocktails. Lytz revealed that just days before opening, one brewing tank sprung a leak and needed to be replaced. He got a replacement tank from Massachusetts. They plan to offer more beers in the future.
The menu offered sandwiches and other food one might expect at a brewery, in addition to several creative and delicious items, including Faroe Islands Salmon, Ahi Tuna and Coney Island Chowder. The brewery is open every day except Tuesday.
