Children and Civic Organization welcomed the season

The Richfield Civic Organization helped the community officially ring in the holiday season with a festive tree-lighting ceremony.

As part of the tradition, the ceremony was held the day after Thanksgiving. RCO members handed out miniature lanterns and Jenny Magistrelli led singing from the stage with the help of many children.Santa and Mrs. Claus arrived in an antique fire truck driven by former fire chief, Phil McLean. Revelers then walked through the Village Green that was adorned with many beautiful lights, and were treated to cookies, hot chocolate and punch. Caren and Walt Kaminski were the featured guests.
