Hinckley Holiday market benefits township’s upcoming bicentennial

With so many items to choose from, the fourth annual Hinckley Holiday Market was a gift-giver’s paradise Nov. 16.
This year, 35 vendors participated and 24 baskets were donated. Basket raffle ticket proceeds this year, a little over $2,300, went to the Hinckley Historical Society Bicentennial fund. Each year basket raffle proceeds are donated to a different nonprofit. The market was hosted by Hinckley residents Monique Ascherl and Nikki Long, who greeted guests as they entered. A selection of delicious pastries for sale stood right beside them. The hosts said they wanted to thank Valleaire for donating the space each year, helping to keep the table fees low and helping to boost donation amounts.
