Dec. 3 board of education work session
The first day of classes in the Revere School District for the 2025-26 school year will be Aug. 26, 2025; the last day is scheduled for June 4, 2026.
Students are scheduled to be in class for 176 days, but teachers are expected to be on duty for 184 days.
Thanksgiving break will begin on Nov. 26, 2025, and last for five days. Winter break will start at the end of the Dec. 19 school day and last for 16 days, with classes resuming on Jan. 5, 2026. The 10- day Spring break will begin on March 28. Classes will restart on April 7.
Students also will have the day off on Labor Day, Sept. 1, 2025; Oct. 10; Oct. 27; Dec. 1; Jan. 16, 2026, and Martin Luther King Day, Jan. 19; Presidents Day, Feb. 16; and Memorial Day, May 25.
Revere classes will begin and end one week later than many Northeast Ohio districts. When Revere was undergoing its $83 million construction project in the late teens, the board of education chose to delay the start of the school year to ensure that the new Bath Elementary, and two years later, the new Revere High, would be ready for occupancy.
Eventually, the board asked parents if they wanted to keep the late calendar or return to the earlier version. Parents responded by giving a thumbs-up to the later dates, and the board has created calendars reflecting that choice.
