Winter Wonders delighted guests at Richfield Heritage Preserve
by Sue Serdinak
The Friends of Richfield Heritage Preserve presented Winter Wonders in the park on Dec. 7. Along with the annual feature of the sale of home-baked Christmas cookies, there were fresh swags, and a grilled lunch with hot chocolate. Richfield Librarian Diane Nagy offered story time and Revere students provided face painting. Ohio Horseman’s Council brought Sunny the Reindeer Horse to the festivities for photo opportunities and Father Time arrived at the event on a horse. Vendors sold beautiful items and the Friends showcased for the first time their specialty sauce, Hot on the Trail, and a jam, Richfield Heritage Preserves. The Friends reported that they netted over $25,000 from the event. The money will be used to continue the restoration of the Kirby Mill and stabilization of Garfield Hall.
