Ellsworth students help fill empty bookshelves

Students at Ellsworth Hill Elementary collected 1,247 books during November’s “Show You Care, Bring a Book to Share” book drive. First- and second-grade students were asked to donate a new or gently used book as part of the Hudson City School District’s partnership with Reach Out and Read Greater Cleveland. This nonprofit organization works to incorporate books into every well-child visit, with an emphasis on the underserved population of medical clinics in Northeast Ohio. Players from Hudson High School junior varsity and varsity baseball program helped second-grade students carefully count and box the donated materials for those clinics in need.
