It’s scholarship season
The State of Mind: Hudson Board of Directors will be accepting applications for the 2025 scholarship through April 1. Students in the class of 2025 attending a Hudson-based school or who hold residence in Hudson but attend a school outside of the district are eligible to apply. The scholarship is also open to homeschooled students residing in Hudson. Applicants must be planning to pursue a two- or four-year college degree or certified vocational program post-graduation. Two scholarships in the amount of $1,000 each will be awarded to two graduating seniors this year. The Woman’s Club of Hudson is accepting applications for its annual scholarship awards. Hudson High School seniors can apply through the Akron Community Foundation at akroncf.org/scholarshipapps. The deadline to apply is March 15. The mission of The Woman’s Club is to provide financial assistance to qualifying graduates of the Hudson public school system in continuing academic study or vocational training. The organization has awarded over $814,000 to HHS graduates since 1948.
Applications are open for the Hudson League for Service scholarship. High school seniors who are Hudson residents are invited to apply. The $1,000 scholarship is based on the quality and impact of your volunteer activities. The applications must be mailed by March 1 to be reviewed. Information can be found at hudsonleagueforservice.org.The Hudson Garden Club awards the Genevieve Jyurovat Scholarships to encourage and assist Hudson students who plan to major in a field connected to the environmental sciences. Eligible students must reside in the Hudson City School District, but may attend either public or private schools. Home-schooled students must have completed the final year of education at home or hold a certificate of high school equivalency. Enrolled college students who have declared an appropriate major and meet the same residence requirement are also eligible. The deadline for submission is March 1.
