Cuyahoga SWCD hosts poster contest for K-12 students 

Cuyahoga Soil and Water Conservation District hosts an annual poster contest for Cuyahoga County K-12 students, and this year’s theme is “Home is Where the Habitat is.” 

Awards will be given for first and second place in the following grade categories: K-1, 2-3, 4-6, 7-9 and 10-12. Winners in each grade band will advance to the state competition.

Registration is due for a class or youth group by April 16 at
cuyahogaswcd.org/service-programs/conservation-poster-contest. Submissions are due to Cuyahoga SWCD by 6 p.m. on May 21.

Linking art and creative thinking with science, the poster contest provides K-12 students the chance to develop and share their thoughts and ideas about natural resource issues and how conservation improves the environment. For more information, contact Callie Sommers, education program coordinator at 216-524-6580 ext.1006 or csommers@cuyahogaswcd.org.
