Jan. 2—A Spafford Oval resident asked for a welfare check on her neighbor, who had texted her that she did not feel safe and was having issues with her roommate. The neighbor and her roommate refused to answer the door for the police and stated they were fine.

Jan. 4—A Greengate Oval resident reported fraud after an unknown person called and asked for his credit card number. 

Jan. 6—A male reported his Apple AirPod wireless headphones missing after snowboarding at a West Highland Road ski resort. The pods were located electronically at an address in Austintown and the resident there returned the item, claiming the pods were in his boot and he didn’t know how they got there.

Jan. 8—A Hawthorne Drive resident reported a stolen package.

Jan. 10—Police took a report from a resident referencing fraud after a third party used her credit card to purchase a LEGO set. The bank refunded them.

Jan. 12—Officers responded to a domestic dispute on Dunham Road between a father and son.

Jan. 12—Dispatch advised of a 911 hang up. The female caller said she did not feel safe around her husband and they were fighting. The husband had taken her phone, which is why she did not answer when dispatch called back.

Jan. 13—Police responded to a Brandywine Road residence for an elderly female who was unresponsive. She was found dead, and there were no signs of foul play.

Jan. 15—Officers received a call of an unruly 12-year-old at a W. Aurora Road residence. Police offered civil solutions to the anger among the family.

Jan. 18—A domestic dispute took place at a Houghton Road residence between a married couple on the verge of separation.

Jan. 18—A female was confrontational with an officer on Route 82 after being stopped for not having a license plate.

Jan. 21—Police responded to apartments on Eaton Ridge Drive for report of two males arguing in the parking lot. The brothers had been arguing all day, and one of them had a hammer with him. Both were issued summons for disorderly conduct.

Jan. 21—Officers responded to a Crystal Creek home for report of a deceased individual. The death was determined to be natural causes.

Jan. 21—A female attempted to call 911 when she wanted her male partner to leave the apartment on Eaton Ridge Drive. The couple had been arguing over the male’s ex-girlfriend.

Jan. 24—A resident reported a verbal dispute between her and another driver in the parking lot of a West Aurora Road apartment complex. The parties were told to stay away from each other.

Jan. 25—Police responded to a domestic dispute at a Canyon View Road apartment between a mother and daughter. The daughter has mental health struggles and stated her mother wasn’t listening to her. The mother was advised to find different mental health resources for her daughter.

Jan. 26—An officer observed a truck on Route 82 whose license plate and registration sticker were not registered to the vehicle. The driver was issued a warning for improper display of plate and fictitious plates.

Jan. 26—A female called 911 while at a West Highland Road ski resort to report a domestic dispute between her and her husband, who was intoxicated and attempted to drive their car.Jan. 28—Officers responded to a Barton Road home for report of an unruly juvenile. The female teenager had destroyed her room as a result of feeling that her mother abandoned her when she left the country for a period of time.
