Brecksville Mayor Daryl Kingston said the property that had formerly been a veterans hospital and clinic, is now being developed for multi-use, including a very large Sherwin Williams research center.

Included in the development will be a multi-story office building, three-story apartment buildings with small shops on the first floor, an outdoor common area, individual homes and a yet-to-be-named grocery store. Some of the buildings and apartments are already occupied.

At the banquet, Quality Inn – Venue South was presented with the Business of the Year Award for extensive remodeling of the hotel. In addition, Mayor Michael Wheeler swore in the Chamber’s 2025 officers: Mark Yantek, president; Jim Koewler, vice president; Dr. Mariah Southard, secretary; and Justin Hamlin, treasurer.
