First Valor Acres restaurant announced

Chef and restaurateur Dante Boccuzzi is bringing his latest culinary vision to Brecksville with the opening of Masu, a modern sushi concept at Valor Acres.

Set to debut this summer, Masu will deliver a sushi experience that blends authentic Japanese tradition with fresh fish and a unique dining atmosphere.

Masu will offer fast-casual rolls and bowls for lunch, along with the addition of the restaurant and sushi bar. For dinner service, guests can expect the same high-end sushi experience found at Boccuzzi’s other Northeast Ohio restaurants, Ginko and Goma, Bocuzzi said.

“Seeing a good friend like Dante bring his incredible talent and vision to Valor Acres with Masu is truly exciting,” said Rob DiGeronimo, president of Independence Excavating Inc. “Dante’s passion for culinary innovation is exceptional, and having his new concept here aligns with our vision for what the Valor Acres development will bring to the community.”

Leading the kitchen will be head chef Jacob McDaniel, a longtime collaborator of Boccuzzi and current chef at Ginko.

“Jacob has been with me in all my restaurants for years. He brings a deep understanding of Japanese cuisine and an incredible level of craftsmanship to Masu,” said Boccuzzi.

Located in the heart of Valor Acres, Masu will add a new element to the mixed-use development, aiming to be a premier dining and lifestyle destination in Northeast Ohio. Valor Acres also will feature unique residential, retail and office spaces, including Sherwin-Williams research and development facilities, as well as the new headquarters for DiGeronimo Companies.

“I’ve been in discussions with the DiBoccuzzi shared. “Now, with Masu at Valor Acres, we have the perfect match in the perfect location.”

Boccuzzi says Masu will be “an exciting addition to the growing Brecksville dining scene, offering a unique blend of casual convenience for lunch and refined sushi artistry for dinner.”

It joins the newly opened DiGeronimo Companies headquarters, Canvas at Valor Acres, and Primer Coffee & Cocktail Bar.

Masu will also be in close proximity to the soon-to-open Sherwin-Williams Research & Development headquarters and the upcoming AC Marriott, further enhancing the Valor Acres development.
