Community choruses celebrate The World Beloved in April concert

Hudson Community Choruses brings together the solemnity of a traditional mass with the downhome energy of bluegrass at its spring concert, The World Beloved: Celebrating Creation & Honoring Our Home, at 4 p.m., Sunday, April 27, at Hudson High School Auditorium.

Honeytown, a five-piece bluegrass group, will join the adult chorus for The World Beloved: A Bluegrass Mass. Based in Kidron, Ohio, Honeytown includes musicians Tim Shue, Nate Gundy, Kevin Himes, Toby Hazlett and Harper Shue. The band’s eclectic musical mix has endeared them to audiences in both downtown theaters and rural barns. In addition, the concert includes performances of well-known and newer compositions in keeping with the concert’s theme. Led by Artistic Director Dr. Jon C. Peterson and accompanied by HCC collaborative pianist Anne Dalby, the Adult, Youth and Children’s choruses will open the program with Linda Kachelmeier’s stirring One World

The choruses will also take the stage for individual performances. Tickets are now available online at hudsonsings.org and are $20 presale for adults and $25 at the door. All student tickets are $5. For groups of 10 or more adults, discounted tickets are available via email at ksluzewski@hudsonsings.org.
