Township Government

Happy springtime!  I hope everyone is enjoying spending time outdoors again. The township’s service department will shift from snow removal to road, culvert, berm and property maintenance. There will be major road paving in the Glencairn development. We will also do roadway and drainage improvements on Stubbins and Farnham roads, and Hecker Drive that are funded through an Ohio Public Works Commission grant.

The township encourages residents to participate in our Community Open House for input into the 2025 Comprehensive Land Use Plan Update on Wednesday, April 23, 4-7 p.m. at the Richfield Heritage Preserve. Consultants from Verdantas will professionally facilitate it.

Trustees will continue to spend resources wisely and our fiscal officer, Vik Sandhu, will continue to be a good steward of our funds. According to his annual report, the township closed the fiscal year in March 2025. He reported the township earned an additional $18,504 in year-to-date interest through a strategic investment approach with our STAR Ohio investments as compared to 2023 YTD.We opened 2025 with a balance of $2,049,247, and we currently have $5,086,718 available for 2025, which is allocated towards our appropriations. Residents can request a copy of the township’s financial report at any time. All financial reports are available to the public through the AOS Hinkle System or by contacting Vik Sandhu at v.sandhu@richfield-twp.org.
