Friends of the Library seeks board member

The Nordonia Hills Branch of Friends of the Library is seeking a board member to fill a vacancy created by a retirement. The one-year term starts in mid-January.

Friends hosts book sales (in addition to selling books online) and sponsors presenters, concerts, lectures and interactive programs for adults and children at the library. The group also provides program supplies, summer reading prizes and other items that allow the library to provide a variety of services.

The Friends of the Library also awards scholarships to local high school students and supports agencies like the Emergency Assistance Center and the Nordonia Hills Concerts series.
