Obituary Policy

Writing about the death of a community member can be a challenge. It is not always possible to get important information. In addition, the ScripType staff does not know about every death in a community and sometimes people are omitted.

In an effort to never miss the death of any resident or to have incorrect or incomplete information about someone’s life, it is the policy at ScripType to write only about the deaths of public officials and their community service.

ScripType does provide the opportunity to buy an “In Memoriam” ad, which can be run with or without a photo. The ScripType staff can design the ad and help you with the whole process so that it is not overwhelming at a difficult time.
