Independence Primary School student is “Principal for the Day”

Independence Primary School (IPS) Principal T.J. Ebert got to take the day off as IPS student Robert Wilce stepped in to be the “Principal for the Day.” Robert won the honor of being principal after being the top earner for the school’s Fun Run.

An entire day of exciting work was planned for Robert including being in charge of the walkie talkie all day, greeting the students as they came into school in the morning, saying the morning announcements and working with the Principal’s Secretary Diane Brown in the main office.

Robert also attended important meetings with Independence Local Schools Superintendent Ben Hegedish, talked about facilities with Asst. Superintendent Tom Dreiling, and kept order around the entire school building.

At the end of Robert’s long day as acting Principal, he put up his feet and enjoyed day 130 of in-person instruction. ∞
