The Nordonia Hills Soccer Association Boys U10 team finished first in the Under 10 boys division of the Ohio Travel Soccer League. The OTSL is a youth soccer league for travel and community players for both boys and girls. It is comprised of 85 communities and 775 teams throughout northern Ohio, according to the OTSL website.

Nordonia’s team of 14 players went undefeated in the spring 2021 season with a total of eight wins and 61 goals scored.

Coach Patrick Coughlin noted the dedication of the team, recalling a snowy game in May. “They played West Geauga in the freezing rain and snow… and at halftime were asked if they wanted to call it a tie with the other team as the score was 3-3, and shivering and wet they said collectively, they wanted to continue, winning 6-3,” Coughlin said.

The boys practiced since August of 2020 playing games outdoors in the fall and inside in the winter. Coughlin said, “They came together as a team working on passing and shooting.” ∞
