Six inducted into Highland’s Distinguished Alumni Hall of Fame

The Highland Alumni Association, in partnership with The Highland Foundation, has announced its third class of Distinguished Alumni Hall of Fame inductees.

Those inductees span generations of Highland graduates and include Todd Bischof, class of 1981; Kimberly Bolas Miller, class of 1989; Gary Green, class of 1970; John Kobs, class of 1999; Mike Kudla, class of 2002 (posthumously); and William Wagar, class of 1983 (posthumously).

Additionally, 2019 Hall of Fame inductees Dwier Brown and Jim Ritcher, both of whom graduated in the class of 1976, were also recognized after being unable to attend the 2019 induction ceremony.

Inductees were recognized on the football field during halftime of the district’s Homecoming football game this past fall.

Highland’s class of 1971, which celebrated its 50th reunion in 2021 was also recognized during the ceremony.

The Highland Alumni Association recognizes a new class of honorees every two years, with nominations accepted via the Highland Foundation website. All nominees must have graduated from the district at least 10 years ago.

The selection committee considers various criteria, including nominees’ accomplishments in their chosen vocations, demonstrated leadership skills and commitment to the Highland community. ∞
