Harlequin Design Studio shines at new location

After serving Broadview Heights and surrounding cities for more than 14 years out of its original location at 8133 Broadview Rd., Harlequin Design Studio hosted a grand opening April 9 at its new location at 313 Treeworth Ave.
“We just outgrew the existing space, and it was time for something a little bit bigger,” explained Operation Manager Danielle Rendina, whose mother, Tracy, began the company in 2008. “We really like being involved in Broadview Heights; I grew up here and went to Brecksville-Broadview Heights schools. We’re really strong with the community, and we were happy that we were able to stay in Broadview Heights. It also gave us the opportunity to show off new displays and trends and represent what we can do as a company.”
The company specializes in custom-made kitchen and bath remodeling projects.
“We’re a full remodeling company, so we help our clients from concepts to construction,” Rendina continued. “We’ll help you with the design and layout of the space. We then help you pick out all of your materials: countertops, cabinetry, flooring and things like that. Then we have all the trades that we manage from start to finish with construction.”
The new 3,000-square-foot space allowed the business to expand its warehouse and office spaces. The 800-square-foot showroom showcases some of the latest cutting-edge products on the market.
“Although we’re always respectful of our clients’ price point, we are definitely a more high-end custom remodeling company,” Rendina continued. “We’re not necessarily a company that’ s going to come in just to fix a shower or floor; we are a full remodeling company. We’re still small, but we’re growing, and we want to make sure our clients are taken care of properly.”
The company strives to customize each remodeling project to suit a client’s specific needs and tastes while adding value to the property.
“We have a custom design process, and we like to make each space individual and make sure that it functions correctly for each of our clients,” said Rendina. “We want to make every project unique so that when you walk into your home it reflects that unique style and design.”
The company name comes from a design pattern and also references the light-hearted nature of the Rendina family, said Danielle, who joined the company five years ago. Her father, Frank, began working with the company eight years ago.
A goal with every project is to make sure that each remodel is fully completed, leaving nothing additional for the client to finish up, said Rendina.
“When we finish a project, our goal is for the client not to need to do anything else like painting or putting up trim or putting lighting covers back in,” she explained. “When we leave, your space is completely finished.”
Ultimately, the growing company wants to ensure customer satisfaction with each and every project.
“Our slogan is ‘Uniting Creativity with Craftsmanship,’ and that’s what we really like to bring to the table,” said Rendina. “We are a family-owned business, and we take a lot of pride in what we do. No project is ever perfect, but our goal at the end of the day is to make sure that our clients are happy and that we’re creating and putting together what we promised we would.” ∞
