Hinckley Gun Shop opens at Binky Commons

Traffic was brisk the weekend of July 14 as customers came to view the new Hinckley Gun Shop located in the rear portion of Binky Commons, at the corner of Ridge Road and state Route 303.

The following week, Buzz Ink was greeting customers interested in tattoo art. Buzz Ink is located on the south side of Binky Commons, facing Center Road.

Owners of the new Hinckley Gun Shop are Ryan Morgan and his wife, Korrin. A former U.S. Marine with a background in law enforcement, Morgan said he is interested in making the store is “a place where a gun enthusiast feels comfortable to come in and shop or just meet with fellow shooters.”

Customers enter the shop through a unique set of metal art doors illustrating firearms. The main counter shows available merchandise, including handguns, rifles, shotguns and more. The store offers ammunition and firearms accessories as well. Korrin has a license to both sell and manufacture firearms.

“We can make custom firearms to fit the need of customers,” said Korrin. “I urge my customers not to base their purchase on brand names necessarily but gun fit and function.”

The Morgans, who live in Hinckley with their four children, have twins on the way.

Ryan said he is interested in forming a Hinckley Gun Club. The club would give fellow shooters a means to connect and perhaps travel to different clubs to compete, he said.

Currently, store hours for the Hinckley Gun Shop are 10 a.m.-6 p.m., Thursday through Sunday.

“We are incredibly grateful to our amazing community for the overwhelming support we received during the grand opening of our small family business,” said Morgan. “Your presence, encouragement and warm wishes made it even more special. We look forward to serving you and thank you for your continued support.”
