Western Reserve Playhouse raises $10,000 with inaugural gala

Billed as a one-night-only event, Western Reserve Playhouse’s unique take on the traditional gala, aptly named “The Gala,” proved to be a resounding success. A total of 105 guests attended the event, adhering to the “feel-good formal” dress code, and enjoying an evening filled with entertainment, inspiration and impact.
The gala took place inside the 160-year-old barn that houses the theater on Everett Road in Bath. The space reached its full capacity as the audience was immersed in a captivating musical performance. The repertoire featured opera and musical theater songs curated by the playhouse’s executive artistic director, Dawn Sniadak-Yamokoski.
Sniadak-Yamokoski, also an accomplished director, actor and singer, took center stage in the performances. Alongside her were a dozen singers, all WRP alumni, contributing to a cabaret that shared the rich history of the Western Reserve Playhouse. Bryan Bird accompanied the singers on the piano.
“We hope all enjoyed the laughter, tears and celebration. We at WRP are overwhelmed and thrilled at the outcome of our first-ever gala to support our 2024-2025 season,” said Sniadak-Yamokoski. “The success of this event will allow us to move forward with our programming and more. Thank you to all the patrons of WRP.”
The gala raised an impressive $10,000 to bolster the 2024-2025 season. The triumph of this year’s inaugural gala has established it as an annual opportunity to support Bath Township’s historic theater. ∞
