The husband of the car owner stated he was driving that morning but did not remember encountering a jogger. Based on the jogger’s account, he apologized and insisted it was unintentional.

An officer pursued a speeding truck north on Broadview Road when it turned onto the extension of Hawkins Road. At the dead end, the man stepped out of his vehicle. The officer stopped pursuit at the county line but just happened to know the address of the suspect’s parents. He was arrested there and charged with fleeing, excessive speed and ignoring stop signs.

The woman, who owned the vehicle, explained it was just a verbal disagreement. The man confirmed there was no physical confrontation but couldn’t explain scratch marks on his eyelid and face. It was revealed the motorhome had no license plate and the woman’s expired license had been cut up and taped together. The vehicle was towed, and a relative gave them a ride. Time 10:32 a.m.
