May 2—During a traffic stop on Rockside Road, the driver was found to have a warrant out of Mississippi for fleeing and eluding law enforcement. He was charged with carrying concealed weapon and is prohibited from having a firearm under his warrant.

May 3—During a traffic stop on Brecksville Road, the driver was cited and released for carrying concealed weapons and failing to notify the police.

May 5—Police stopped a vehicle on Brecksville Road, and the front seat passenger was arrested for having weapons while intoxicated.

May 11—Flock safety cameras notified officers of a vehicle that previously fled from Independence police in April. Officers stopped the car on Rockside Woods Boulevard, conducted a search of the vehicle and found two firearms. One of the vehicle occupants fled on foot when exiting the vehicle and was armed. The male was found via Parma Police Department drone and with Independence’s K-9 Rambo. He was indicted for receiving a stolen firearm and carrying concealed weapons. The vehicle’s other two occupants were arrested for felony carrying concealed weapon charges.

May 11—Officers were dispatched to a Rockside Road hotel for report of a male running up tabs at the Impulse Club on rooms that were not registered to him. Police took him into custody and found he had a warrant out of Cuyahoga County for a probation violation.

May 12—A female was caught stealing a slow cooker from a Brecksville Road business. She was issued misdemeanor summons for theft and falsification after claiming she was 15 when she was actually 20.

May 13—Police made a traffic stop on Brecksville Road and found the driver had two active warrants. The driver was arrested for carrying a concealed weapon and cited for having open container in the vehicle and driving under suspension.

May 14—A male was arrested for disorderly conduct at a Quarry Lane restaurant after being publicly intoxicated.

May 15—Police recovered a stolen rental vehicle on Jefferson Drive that was part of a larger case out of Cleveland involving an Avis employee renting out vehicles without the renter’s knowledge.

May 15—A male was cited for theft from a Brecksville Road store.

May 23—During a traffic stop on Quarry Lane, police cited the driver for expired plates and issued a criminal summons for attempted drug abuse when cocaine was found in her purse.

May 25—During a Rockside Road traffic stop, officers gave a criminal summons to the vehicle’s passenger for attempted drug abuse because he had a narcotic without a prescription and a firearm in his possession.

May 25—Officers responded to a Forestwood Drive residence for report of an individual having difficulty breathing. That was not the case; a female at the home had an altercation in the driveway with the father of one of her children. She had misdemeanor warrants out of Cleveland Heights and was transported to their custody.

May 26—A female customer was cited for disorderly conduct at a Rockside Road restaurant.

May 29—A female was cited for disorderly conduct at a Jefferson Drive hotel and admitted to drinking alcohol.
